Steve Perillo, CEO of Perillo Tours, will host a cruise along the Danube River on the 118-passenger Swiss Emerald this fall.
The cruise marks the first time Perillo Tours, an Italy specialist based in Woodcliff Lake, N.J., is offering a river cruise. Perillo Tours also offers trips to Hawaii and more recently introduced Israel tours.
Perillo said the one-time river cruise is in honor of the 65th anniversary of the company his grandfather founded. "I've always wanted to do a Danube cruise, and the quality of this itinerary is matched only by the elegance of the riverboat selected for the voyage," Perillo said in a statement.
The chartered ship, the Swiss Emerald, launched in 2006 and is operated by Tauck World Discovery. It has 14 suites at 300 square feet each and seven junior suites ranging from 150 to 183 square feet.
All staterooms feature a plasma TV, mini-bar, radio, safe, hair dryer, adjustable air conditioning, private bathroom with shower, l'Occitane toiletries and terrycloth robes and slippers.
The ship also houses a restaurant, rear lido lounge, fitness center, sun deck with a Jacuzzi, bar and lounge, library and boutique.
The cruise sails through Budapest, Hungary; Bratislava, Slovakia; Vienna, Salzburg, Durnsteain and Linz, Austria; Passau and Regensburg, Germany; and the Czech capital of Prague.
The Oct. 4-16 itinerary begins with a two-night stay at the InterContinental in Budapest, where Perillo will welcome guests with a dinner and reception.
The Perillo river cruise starts at $4,590 per person, including daily breakfast and most lunches and dinners. Also included are the two-night hotel stay, entertainment, museums and attractions, service charges, taxes, airport transfers and gratuities.
Dining is open seating with complimentary wines. Free Internet access will be provided.
