NEW YORK -- AAA said that, at the end of this year, it will switch
providers of foreign and domestic travelers checks from American
Express to Visa.
It said it signed an agreement with Travelex to supply the
Visa-branded payment products and foreign exchange services.
AAA said the new program includes features that were not
previously available, such as the AAA Visa Passport, an
international money card; AAA Visa gift cards; and the ability to
buy travelers checks and other products on the Web and by telephone
as well as at AAA agencies. The product line also includes AAA Visa
credit cards.
Canadian Automobile Association (CAA) members receive the same
benefits under the new agreement.
