LEXINGTON, Ky. -- ARTA said it will support "exploratory studies"
by ARC to establish an arbitration procedure for airline debit
memos under the Travel Agent Arbiter program.
ARTA president John Hawks said ARTA representatives have
supported the proposal in ARC working groups in recent months and
will work closely with ARC to address remaining concerns.
Those concerns include whether the arbitration should be
binding, and how much of a fee should be charged for the proposed
written appeals process.
