ASTA has partnered with Accessible Travel Solutions to create a course on accessible tourism, offered as part of the Verified Travel Advisor elective program.
Accessible Travel Solutions works with travelers and travel advisors to meet the needs of travelers with disabilities.
The course was designed to help advisors better serve travelers with mobility, sensory and cognitive needs.
"Travel advisors want to serve every client well, but accessibility can feel complex without the right guidance," Accessible Travel Solutions CEO John Sage said. "This course equips advisors with practical tools and clear frameworks so they can confidently support travelers with disabilities."
Alvin Adriano, ASTA's director of education, said accessible tourism "is a vital and growing segment of our industry," and the course will help advisors better serve that segment.
"By providing practical, real-world training, we are empowering advisors to create truly inclusive travel experiences while expanding their own business opportunities," he added.
The course is $190; ASTA members pay $99.
