HOLLYWOOD, Fla. -- Hello World Travel of Sparks, Nev., became the
latest midsize-to-large agency to join the franchise network of
Carlson Wagonlit Travel Associates.
The $12 million agency, formerly with Leisure Travel Group,
signed an agreement with Carlson at the group's national meeting
here.
Hello World, located near Reno, was the fifth major agency to
join the Carlson fold since last summer, adding $300 million to the
network's annual sales, according to officials.
Other major agencies to join during that period were Morris
Murdock Travel of Salt Lake City, Utah; Springdale Travel of
Mobile, Ala.; Ross and Babcock Travel of Indianapolis, Ind.; and
Travel Advisors International of Lincoln, R.I.
The CWT franchise network comprises some 400 franchisees with
900 locations. They have annual sales of approximately $3.5
billion.
