ATLANTA -- LastMinuteTravel.com, a new bargain-travel Web service
based here, said it formed an executive management team to
implement its plans to give travel suppliers a means to sell excess
inventory on the Web.
LastMinuteTravel.com said it will link "consumers with
time-sensitive offers from motivated sellers."
The Web service said it has established relationships with
Continental Airlines, America West, US Airways, Norwegian Cruise
Line, Carnival Cruise Lines, Renaissance Cruises, Avis, Hilton
Hotels and Resorts and Alamo Rent A Car.
The founder and chief executive officer of LastMinuteTravel.com
is David Miranda, former vice president of brand marketing at
Holiday Inn Worldwide.
LastMinuteTravel.com went outside the travel industry to fill
its top marketing, sales and technology positions.
