Protravel International and Tzell Travel Group have launched a new service, the Travel Health and Safety Desk, available 24 hours a day to keep advisors and travelers up to date on the latest with Covid-19.
The desk was designed to field questions about destination policies and health and safety concerns, including information about border closures, flight suspensions, mandatory quarantines and testing requirements. It does not provide medical advice.
Advisors have access to an online portal with an updated interactive map with travel entry requirements, a hotline number and a request-for-information email. For a fee, advisors can give their clients access to the service, as well, for guidance before and during a trip.
Risk-management company Exlog Global is staffing the desk with its safety and security experts. Sister company Altour already has an agreement in place with Exlog; Protravel and Tzell's service is an extension of that agreement.
Angie Licea, president of Protravel and Tzell Group, said traveler health and safety issues are a main concern today but that it's difficult for advisors to keep up with constantly changing requirements and policies.
"We are excited to launch this special desk and online portal to ensure our advisors are always up to speed on the rapidly changing rules and regulations about traveler entry requirements and eligibility," she said in a statement.
