Travel Guard increases transport coverage

STEVENS POINT, Wis. -- Travel Guard increased its coverage in two of its travel-insurance plans.

The maximum benefit for emergency medical transportation -- when an insured's injuries require evacuation to a qualified medical facility like a burn unit or a trauma center -- in the Cruise, Tour & Travel plan increased from $20,000 to $300,000.

Coverage for medical expenses under that plan increased from $10,000 to $50,000.

Under the ProtectAssist plan, emergency medical transportation went to $300,000 and medical expenses were increased to $25,000.
