The Travel Institute has launched an
e-learning platform on its Web site, www.thetravelinstitute.com, initially offering for
free two destination training options, Alaska and France.
Throughout 2007, the Institute will convert many of its courses for
online access (they will still be available in print, too).
The Institute
said it also is working with suppliers and destinations to develop
or enhance their programs, for any designated travel professionals,
for posting at the site.
The e-learning center has three libraries: one for
full versions of the Institute's destination specialist courses; a
second for bite-sized destination overviews meant to whet the
appetite for more; and a third for courses offered by third
parties.
