TripSuite is launching a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server enabling the platform to connect with AI tools Claude and ChatGPT.

An MCP server enables AI models to connect with external data, tools and systems. TripSuite is a CRM, accounting, analytics and workflow platform. With the MCP server, it will enable advisors to connect their AI assistant with the rest of their business, including TripSuite, email, documents, supplier websites and other tools.

"The simplest way to think about it: an API connects other software to TripSuite," the company said. "An MCP server connects AI tools to TripSuite."

This marks TripSuite's next step forward in making it easy for other systems to connect with it, the company said, pointing out existing integrations with Axus, Travefy, TravelWits, Sabre and other platforms.

"Over the past six months, we've seen a real shift in how some of the highest-performing advisors work," TripSuite CEO and cofounder Jacey Jones said in a release. "Claude is increasingly becoming the place where they spend their day, and they were asking us to bring TripSuite into that workflow. This launch came directly from that demand. We've always believed in meeting advisors where they are and giving them the flexibility to build the workflow that works best for their business."

How travel advisors can use the server

The TripSuite MCP server launches today at no additional cost for agencies. Agencies can control which users can access it, and agencies can revoke that access at any point.

TripSuite provided some samples of what advisors can do with the new connectivity.

For instance, an advisor could say, "Send the hotel a VIP email for this client."

Their AI assistant would then use the client's profile in TripSuite, in conjunction with emails and notes, to craft a personalized hotel request. It could include allergies, preferences, details of the celebration and what the client appreciates the most.

In another example, TripSuite said, an advisor could say, "Use the itinerary in this email to update the booking in TripSuite and tell me what changed."

The AI assistant would read the email and attachment, find the booking in TripSuite, update the record and summarize the differences.

Other examples include reminding an advisor of a client and their past trips, spending patterns and relevant communication history; drafting bon voyage emails and final-payment reminders; and checking that a trip is complete, comparing things like supplier emails, documents and invoices with the trip in TripSuite, then flagging anything that's off.

According to TripSuite, AI assistants can be used for one-off tasks as well as AI agents that run on a schedule (for instance, reviewing active trips each morning, check a connected email account and TripSuite for changes, flag anything that doesn't match and prepare work that requires the advisor's approval.

"Claude's almost acting as a glue between all these different platforms that would never have a direct connection everywhere," Jones said. "It's almost like this global connector. That's where the real power comes in."
