ATLANTA --LastMinuteTravel.com, a site that provides updated
travel offers without last-minute penalties, named David Vis
managing director for Europe, Asia Pacific and the Middle East.
Vis previously launched a European Web company, Infocandy.com, and
he was the European consultant for PhoCusWright.
He also managed the construction of Amadeus Global Travel
Distribution's corporate site,www.amadeus.net.
Vis, a former Travel Weekly technology editor, also was director
of content for new media at Reed Travel Group, Travel Weekly's
former parent company.
LastMinuteTravel.com plans to launch a U.K.-specific site.
