MADRID -- Amadeus introduced a Web-based remote ticket printer
called Amadeus Internet STP (satellite ticket printing).
Targeted at corporations, Amadeus said the Internet STP product
delivers a time-saving and cost-effective way to print itineraries,
invoices, boarding passes and split tickets.
As a Web-based solution, Amadeus said Internet STP eliminates
the cost of an expensive leased-line connection between a
corporation and its travel agent.
Once the corporation's travel agency has completed the
passenger's booking, staff at the corporation can use Internet STP
to print the relevant journey documents.
Amadeus said a corporation's employees will not need training in
order to use the machine.
Amadeus added that Internet STP customers will receive automatic
updates and security systems, ensuring they always work with the
latest version of the product.
