MIAMI -- LTU International Airways began taking bookings through
its Web site, www.ltu.com, and unveiled early-booking fares for
spring, summer and fall travel. Reservations can be made through
the Web site for U.S. passengers traveling to Germany.
LTU said this service "has the capability to book roundtrip and
open-jaw itineraries as well as offer price options, such as
discounted fares for children." The site provides real-time booking
and is linked to Amadeus.
Early-booking fares for spring, summer and fall flights from the
U.S. to Dusseldorf, Frankfurt and Munich must be booked and
purchased by March 6. They are offered in three seasonal
categories: low season, for October departures; shoulder, for April
21 to June 15 and throughout September, and peak, for departures
June 16 to Aug. 31.
Roundtrip low, shoulder and peak fares are $398, $448 and $648,
respectively, from New York; $448, $548 and $748 from Miami,
Orlando and Fort Myers, Fla.; $448, $498 and $698 from Phoenix, and
$498, $598 and $848 from Los Angeles. Meanwhile, LTU extended
through March 28 its reduced rates for car rentals in Germany.
