NEW YORK -- Match.com, a popular online dating service, launched a
travel site for singles with Expedia as its significant other.
MatchTravel.com combines Expedia air, car and hotel
inventory with exclusive vacation offerings from Club Med, Contiki
Holidays and Club Getaway.
Match.com is a subsidiary of Ticketmaster, and both Ticketmaster
and Expedia are controlled by USA Interactive (USAI).
With a cable travel channel in the works, USAI plans to use its
multiple travel and entertainment holdings for cross-selling.
MatchTravel.com is USAI's first integration effort involving its
online travel business.
