TripAdvisor has partnered with The Weather Company to
provide activity recommendations based on weather forecasts for users of The
Weather Channel Made for Samsung App.
App users will find recommended points of interest,
activities and attractions depending on the weather. The feature uses machine
learning and accounts for calendar events, forecasts and TripAdvisor's
attractions to make recommendations within a 25-mile radius.
As an example, a user planning on going to a movie on a day
when it’s warm and sunny might find a recommendation to instead go on a walking
or boating tour.
Users can tap the recommendation, which will bring them to
TripAdvisor’s website for more information and booking options.
The app is designed for Samsung phones. It is available in
the Galaxy Apps store and includes the new TripAdvisor feature.
