Viator lets vendors load their content: Travel Weekly

Viator, the online seller of tours and activities owned by TripAdvisor, has launched Viator Marketplace, which allows vendors to load their own content into Viator.

Applicants go through a screening process before Viator publishes their products, the company said. Criteria vary according to the type of tour or activity offered, but can include TripAdvisor reviews, business licensing, insurance certificates and financial checks.

Viator sells directly to consumers and works with many affiliates, including travel agencies. Its partners include 175,000 travel agents worldwide, the company said.
