In February, well into the 2012 Wave season and a little less than a month after the Costa Concordia disaster, Travel Weekly surveyed travel agents to gauge the tone and activity of this year's Wave.
The findings were mixed: 41% of respondents, for example, said that they'd taken about the same number of cruise deposits during Wave, but 40% said they'd taken fewer deposits and 19% said they'd taken more.

Cruise pricing appeared to be holding its own: Only 8% of respondents said they'd seen lower cruise pricing this year compared with last year.
Nearly 300 respondents completed the survey, which was sent Feb. 8 to subscribers of agent products of Northstar Travel Media, Travel Weekly's parent company.
