PARTNERS IN TRAVEL, a host agency based in Fort Myers, Fla., said it would soon make available to its independent agents Revelex's online cruise search and reservations tool. The tool enables retailers to "quickly search and compare specific cruise results," said Mike Batt, chairman and CEO of the agency's owner, Travel Acquisitions Group (formerly Carlson Leisure Group). Additionally, Partner in Travel plans to launch an internal message board to encourage its network of travel professionals to "connect with each other by sharing best practices, seeking advice or recommendations and possibly forming collaborative sales partnerships."

CARNIVAL CRUISE LINES named the Cruise Line Ltd., based in North Potomac, Md., its 2007 Agency of the Year. Operating at, the agency was launched in 1999 with a "Beat Any Cruise Price" guarantee. It also owns a growing home-based agent program operating as CruiseMoms, which recruits people to sell cruises to family and friends. After a two-day training course, CruiseMoms affiliates receive a CLIA card and earn 60% commissions, according to its Web site. The Cruise Line Ltd. in 2004 was named Royal Caribbean's Agency of the Year and Celebrity's Inside Agency of the Year.

VACATION.COM rolled out Travel Tips Quarterly, a newsletter with travel advice and information that can be customized by agency members. Stephen McGillivray, vice president of marketing for, said the publication is "one of our newest vehicles designed to reinforce the tremendous value that members bring to their clients." The premiere issue includes information about airline passenger rights, safe-travel tips, travel insurance information and passport requirements.

DATEBOOK: The OSSN Inland Empire Chapter in Hemet, Calif., will meet March 26 at 11:30 a.m. for a lunchtime presentation by Viking River Cruises.
