Atlantis Paradise Island pushed back its reopening date to July 30 due to a spike in Covid-19 cases in the U.S., a key market for the resort.

The property had earlier announced a phased reopening plan to begin on July 7 for the Royal Towers, East and West, and the Harborside Resort, to be followed by the Cove on July 14.

Reservations agents are contacting affected guests to issue refunds and stay credits     and assist with bookings for later dates.

"Your reservation automatically becomes an unused stay credit valid for 18     months," president and managing director Audrey Oswell wrote in a letter to guests.

Many amenities will be available when the resort reopens, including the Atlantis Casino, more than 20 dining outlets, beaches, pools, golf, the Mandara Spa, Aquaventure slides and The Dig.
