Dominica has expanded its destination specialist training program to include agents in the U.S., France and Germany.
The program, introduced in Canada and the U.K. last year, now includes a master specialist component in all markets.
"We appreciate the role that agents play in helping promote Dominica as a unique Caribbean destination," said Colin Piper, director of tourism. "We look forward to deepening this relationship with our travel partners through this specialist program."
Agents who complete the complementary online training program are eligible for agent rates of up to 75% off on accommodations and attractions, contests and sweepstakes, fam trips, a subscription to trade e-newsletters and priority invitations to Dominica events and programs in local markets.
To become a master specialist, agents must have visited the island within the last three years, either on their own or on an island-sponsored fam trip.
Master specialists are eligible for periodic cash incentives for bookings and will have agent contact information on Dominica's consumer site and shared consumer leads.
To sign up for the specialist programs, visit www.dominicaexpertsus.com. Participants who complete the course by Nov. 30 will be entered to win an iPad3.
