Update: New travel restrictions are in place for the Bahamas.
Grand Bahama Island has partnered with Bahamasair to offer a $229 roundtrip fare from Fort Lauderdale to Freeport for travel this month. The rate includes all taxes; tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Beaches and parks are open for groups of five or less; restaurants are limited to 50% capacity.
Taxis and public transportation services have resumed services. A curfew remains in effect from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Starting July 13, attractions, excursions and tours plan to reopen. Phase Four of the reopening plan starts on July 27 with straw vendors and jet ski operators resuming operations.
