Discover Puerto Rico launched  a series of 15- and 30-second videos across digital channels as its latest initiative to remind travelers who are staying home to flatten the curve that "when the time is right, travel is something that people will be thinking about," according to the organization's statement.

Called "All in Good Time," the videos highlight island attractions from waterfalls and tent campsites to the island's mountainous central region and ocean sunsets. All carry the message that "all in good time, it will soon be time for Paradise."

Puerto Rico's earlier messages amidst Covid-19 were a series of virtual weekend getaways that featured activities such as salsa/bomba dancing, cooking and cocktail demonstrations, and tours of coffee plantations.

According to Discover Puerto Rico CEO Brad Dean, the island has fared well so far with a low number of cases compared with other prime Caribbean destinations, and its experiences dealing with Zika outbreaks, hurricanes and a series of earthquakes earlier this year "have helped our response time in this virus crisis and will help our recovery period ahead," he said. "We're polishing off our disaster plans."

The destination is using this enforced downtime to revise and adjust emergency preparedness plans to shorten the recovery period so that it will be ready to welcome travelers once travel resumes, according to Dean.
