Saba Rock, a small island off Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin Islands that is home to a nine-room hotel, bar, restaurant and dive and retail shop, will reopen in the fall following a complete rebuild after Hurricane Irma in 2017.

The one-and-a-half-acre island known for its laid-back, Caribbean-casual vibe, has been a popular hangout for boaters, sailors and watersport enthusiasts since the 1960s.

Alain Prion has been named resort manager, following management positions with the Baldyga Group in Guam, the East Bay Resort in Turks & Caicos and Marco Island Yacht Club in Florida.
