A new online portal for events and festivals scheduled throughout the Caribbean was recently launched to provide agents with a resource to help plan their clients' vacations.

Caribbeanevents.com features more than 200 events, with new ones added daily across the region. The calendar provides information on culinary, cultural, musical and other events, listed by date, island and event type.

"The Caribbean has a reputation for some of the world's most authentic festivals and events each year," said Nerdin St. Rose, founder of the website. "We developed this resource to provide a platform to promote these events, while also providing travel planners with up-to-the-minute information that can enhance clients' trips to the region."

Organizers and planners can submit information directly onto the site at no cost in the initial phase. Destinations can list events for free, with fuller details and live links at a nominal cost.

Additional features include opportunities for hotels and destinations to add customized content that include homepage features, video and direct links for ticket sales.
