The Wyndham Grand Rio Mar Rainforest Beach & Golf Resort in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico, will unveil a $60 million renovation on Dec. 17, marking a new phase for the 607-acre beachfront property located between El Yunque National Rainforest and the Atlantic Ocean.
The project includes a full redesign of all 400 guestrooms and 40 suites, updates to public spaces and enhancements across the resort's five pools. Additions include an adults-only pool area; a new family-focused adventure pool with a waterslide tower; and a children's splash area. The transformation also includes new dining concepts and refreshed menus across 10 venues, featuring collaborations with "Top Chef" alumni Jeff McInnis and Janine Booth.
A major component of the redevelopment is the debut of the Casino Rio Mar & Sportsbook Lounge, alongside The Vault, a speakeasy-style cabaret offering live entertainment and cocktails. The property will continue to feature two 18-hole golf courses and a racquet center.
Opening rates in December start at $399 per night.
