Australis, the cruise line that plies the waters of Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego, has announced the name of its new ship currently under construction in Chile.

The 210-passenger vessel will be called "Ventus Australis," Latin for "Southern Wind," referencing the Tierra del Fuego's windy conditions.

Ventus Australis will do four-night sailings and will join Stella Australis, which operates three-, four-, and seven-night programs in the region.

Chilean shipbuilder Asenav is constructing the ship, which is scheduled to be launched in January 2018.
