Norwegian Cruise Line chief sales officer Katina Athanasiou said in a note to travel advisors that Olivere was “instrumental in the creation and development of our Partners First philosophy and in strengthening our relationship with you  --  our valued travel partners.”

Olivere worked at Norwegian from 2009 to 2014, when she resigned as senior vice president of sales. She held positions at Club Med and World Travel Holdings before returning to Norwegian in November 2016.

In a Facebook post, Olivere said, “It has been my great honor to have been a part of the original Norwegian turnaround team and to come back a second time during unprecedented growth.”

Athanasiou said Olivere agreed to stay on through the end of June to assist with a transition.
