The Carnival Glory sailed on Dec. 23 from New Orleans, following repairs after a collision last week with the Carnival Legend in Cozumel.

The bow of the Legend hit the stern of the Glory, smashing a corner of the ship around the aft dining room areas.

Carnival said it has made temporary repairs to the area. Guests on the shortened cruise departing Dec. 23, which had been scheduled to depart Dec. 22, will get a pro-rated refund and a $100 per stateroom onboard spending credit.

Carnival said there’s no other anticipated impact to the ship’s itinerary, which includes Costa Maya, Mahogany Bay in Roatan and Cozumel. Carnival said it offered a full refund for guests not wishing to take the cruise.

It praised guests on the cruise. “Their cooperation has been nothing short of outstanding as we worked through the issues from Friday’s event,” Carnival said.
