The Carnival Horizon will debut with three new Playlist
Productions shows when the ship starts sailing in April.
"Soulbound" is described as "a
gothic-inspired journey through New Orleans," set to R&B classics such
as "Superstitious," "Soul Man" and "Born Under a Bad
Sign."
"Celestial Strings" merges the beauty of classical
music with modern pop beats and takes place in an elegant and enchanted garden.
It is the first Playlist show to feature a live string trio.
"Vintage Pop" is set in the Cotton Club era with a
six-piece band and a burlesque number, followed by an after-party in the atrium,
where guests can dance and interact with cast members outfitted in zoot suits
and flapper costumes.
A fourth show, "Amor Cubano: A Caribbean Dance Romance,"
has previously been on the Carnival Vista. It features a seven-piece
Cuban-inspired band and sexy Latin dancing.
All Playlist Productions are staged to make maximum use of
the ship's sophisticated and interactive LED screens while showcasing the
talent of the shows' performers.
The Horizon's maiden voyage departs April 2 from Barcelona.
