The Carnival Magic, set to debut in May, completed its sea trials in the Adriatic Sea and returned to the Fincantieri shipyard in Monfalcone, Italy, for its final exterior outfitting.
The 3,690-passenger ship will be delivered in late April, said Carnival Cruise Lines.
The Carnival Magic will launch in Europe with a series of seven- to 12-day Mediterranean cruises operating May 1 to Oct. 16.
Following a 16-day transatlantic crossing, the ship will operate seven-day Caribbean service from Galveston, Texas, starting Nov. 14.
The Carnival Magic will introduce several new features, including the Caribbean-inspired RedFrog Pub; Cucina del Capitano, a family-style Italian restaurant; and SportSquare, a top-deck recreation area with a ropes course and an outdoor fitness area.
