The 120-foot Carnival AirShip will resume flights starting Dec. 31, followed by an appearance the next day at the annual Rose Parade in Pasadena, Calif.

It will be the start of a monthlong tour of duty for the blimp in California, home to Carnival Cruise Line’s next ship, the Carnival Panorama, which will be based in Long Beach.

As part of the tour, the AirShip will fly over major cultural monuments across California as well as sporting events, schools, Carnival’s home ports in Long Beach and San Diego, travel agent viewing parties, and select trampoline park locations of Sky Zone, the Panorama’s newest attraction.

A consumer sweepstakes for a free Panorama cruise will launch Dec. 31. Also, those who post a picture of the blimp using the hashtags #ChooseFun and #JumpIntoFun, inspired by the first Sky Zone at sea on the Carnival Panorama, will trigger a Carnival donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
