Carnival Cruise Line will continue to sail from Mobile through 2022, signing a three-year extension with the Alabama city.
With the agreement, the
Carnival Fantasy will continue its four- and five-day cruises
to Mexico from the Alabama Cruise Terminal. About 170,000 cruise passengers per year sail from
Mobile. Carnival is the only cruise
line to sail from the port.
In 2011, Carnival stopped
sailing from the port leaving its terminal empty, but it was persuaded to
return starting in 2015.
