Starting with new bookings on June 14, Carnival Cruise Lines will base tour conductor credits (free berths) on the average cruise fare paid by all guests in a group.

Carnival has been basing credits on the fare for the category within the group with the most cabins.

Carnival said amenity points can still be used to accelerate the ratio beyond the standard of one free berth for every 15 full-fare passengers.

Groups booked prior to June 14, regardless of sailing date, will continue to earn tour conductor credits using the old calculation.
