In the winter of 2024-2025, Celebrity Cruises for the first time will base a ship at Port Canaveral, Fla., the world's busiest cruise port.

In what new president Laura Hodges Bethge said is an attempt to reach a mix of out-of-state and in-state travelers, the line will sail cruises from Port Canaveral on the Celebrity Equinox.

The Equinox will sail seven-night cruises from Nov. 21, 2024, until April 19, 2025, with port calls in the Bahamas, Belize, Grand Cayman and Mexico.

The move is part of the line's expansion in the Caribbean. The Celebrity Apex and Celebrity Summit will sail six- and seven-day itineraries from Fort Lauderdale from Oct. 23, 2024, to March 8, 2025. Itineraries will include St. Maarten, San Juan, Grand Cayman and Mexico, along with some sailings to Perfect Day at Coco Cay, Royal Caribbean International's private island. Celebrity recently announced it would begin calling there.

The Summit will sail five new itineraries from Feb. 25, 2025, to April 10, 2025. Cruises will span from five to nine days.

The line will also offer more frequent six- and seven-day cruises on the Celebrity Constellation out of Tampa Bay, including four new itineraries from Jan. 2, 2025, to April 6, 2025. Calls will include Belize, Honduras, Key West, Mexico and New Orleans during Mardi Gras on March 1.

Celebrity will have six ships sailing the Caribbean during the 2024-2025 winter season with the Celebrity Beyond and Celebrity Reflection also scheduled to sail there.
