Celebrity Cruises will get a fifth Edge-class ship, with
delivery scheduled for 2024.
Parent company Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. reached an agreement with French shipbuilder
Chantiers de l'Atlantique for the ship, subject to financing.
The first in the class, the 2,918-passenger Celebrity Edge,
went into service in December 2018. The second ship in the series, the
Celebrity Apex, is being built by Chantiers for 2020.
Two other unnamed Edge ships are scheduled for delivery in
2021 and 2022.
