When the Celebrity Infinity emerges from a scheduled drydock on Dec. 3, the ship will have the AquaClass spa cabins featured on Celebrity Cruises' Solstice-class ships.

The addition of spa cabins is part of Celebrity’s plan to refurbish the line’s Millennium-class ships with Solstice-class amenities. When Celebrity announced that renovation plan in January, however, it did not include the addition of spa cabins.

Celebrity already has renovated one ship, the Constellation, under its "Solticizing" plan. The Constellation, which was renovated in April, didn’t get spa cabins. However, the Summit and the Millennium will get them, in January 2012 and April 2012, respectively.

Along with spa cabins, the ships will receive the Mediterranean-themed Blu restaurant, which is offered exclusively to guests staying in AquaClass accommodations. Other additions are new oceanview and inside cabins; new verandas for suites; and the Celebrity iLounge, featuring Apple electronics.

The Infinity, Summit and Millennium also are receiving the promised Solstice amenities detailed when Celebrity announced the project in January. These include the Tuscan Grille steakhouse, Bistro on Five, the ice-topped Martini Bar, the Cafe al Bacio and Gelateria, the Cellarmasters wine bar, more suites, and restyled staterooms and public areas.

Bookings for the refurbished Celebrity Infinity open on Nov. 22.
