Celebrity Cruises is canceling its Asia sailing season on the Celebrity Solstice, citing uncertainty over port access as the pandemic lingers.

According to a letter sent to travel advisors Monday, the cancellations pertain to sailings departing Sept. 16, 2022, through April 21, 2023.

Celebrity said guests may apply their current booking to select Asia sailings in the 2023-24 season or seek a full refund.

The Solstice will be redeployed to Los Angeles in September to sail Mexican Riviera cruises.

Celebrity isn’t the only line to back out of Asia. Princess Cruises redeployed the Diamond Princess to San Diego after the line planned to sail from Singapore and Japan.
