Crown Princess returns to service with new pub, refreshed casino

After the completion of a drydock, the Crown Princess now has O'Malley's Irish Pub and an updated casino.

The Irish pub, found on six other Princess Cruises ships, replaces Wheelhouse Bar. Guests can enjoy classic menu options like fish and chips and burgers as well as live music. The venue offers seating for 134 guests, including 12 at the bar.

Gatsby's Casino was refreshed with new gaming equipment, including the latest slot machine themes. The casino bar was redesigned.

The cruise line also added an Effy jewelry lounge where the ship's internet café had been located.

The Crown Princess arrives in Sydney on Jan. 4 for a series of Australia cruises through May. On May 10, the ship departs on a 114-day world cruise roundtrip from Sydney.

The Crown Princess, built in 2006, had last been refurbished in 2018.
