Crystal Cruises' overhaul of the Crystal Symphony has been
completed, reducing its double-occupancy passenger capacity to 848 from 922.
The change resulted from increasing the size of some
staterooms, and from redesigning the main dining room, now called Waterside, to
accommodate open seating.
In another change, what had been Lido Cafe is now
Marketplace by day and the Brazilian-themed Churrascaria by night.
Nobu Matsuhisa's alternative restaurant Silk Road and Sushi
Bar has become Umi Uma & Sushi Bar. A new restaurant serving Asian food
next to the Trident Grill on Deck 11 will bear the name Silk Kitchen & Bar.
The Symphony got a technology upgrade to facilitate the
change to unlimited free internet for all guests. A new guest portal -- Crystal Connect -- is
now featured on the landing page of onboard internet connections, and can also
be accessed on a guest's personal devices.
During Symphony's month-long renovation, 12 new Seabreeze
Penthouse with Verandah suites were added as well as 28 Seabreeze Penthouse
Suite with Verandah accommodations. The two categories have the same square
footage as existing Penthouse and Penthouse Suite staterooms, which are 367
square feet and 491 square feet, respectively.
