NCLH president and CEO Harry Sommer will serve as interim president of the cruise line.
Herrera had been NCL's president since April 2023 after serving as the line's chief consumer sales and marketing officer.
Commenting on the decision to make a leadership change, an NCLH spokesperson said, "NCL is at a pivotal moment in its nearly 60-year history. With the foundation that has been set by the leadership team, it's the right time to make this change as we look to accelerate our momentum at NCL."
NCLH will conduct "a robust search for Mr. Herrera's successor," while Sommer serves as interim president.
