Explora Journeys' third ship, the Explora III, will cruise in western and northern Europe -- including Iceland and Greenland -- when it debuts in summer 2026.

The luxury ship will skirt along the East Coast of Canada and the U.S. in the fall before sailing to the Caribbean for the 2026-27 winter season.

The Explora III is the third of six ships in Explora Journeys' shipbuilding pipeline and will be its first powered by liquified natural gas. It will also be capable of plugging into shore power. Explora expects to transition to a bio-LNG or synthetic LNG if they become available at scale.

The ship will have slightly more space than Explora's first two ships. The guest-to-space ratio aboard the Explora III will be 201 square feet, slightly higher than Explora I and II at 198 square feet.

The Explora III will sail a seven-night cruise from Lisbon to Southampton, U.K., on Aug. 10, 2026, before cruising to northern Europe with calls in the Netherlands, Norway, Estonia, Sweden and Germany. The ship will then cut west to Iceland and Greenland, calling at lesser-visited ports such as Rønne in Denmark, Nanortalik and Paamiut in Greenland and Seydisfjordur in Iceland.

The ship will arrive in Quebec City on Sept. 27 and sail south along the East Coast, including the Magdalen Islands in the Gulf of St. Lawrence and New York City. The ship will arrive in Miami on Oct. 25 to sail the Caribbean winter season.
