Grand Princess to ply Mediterranean in 2003: Travel Weekly

Grand Princess to ply Mediterranean in 2003

LOS ANGELES -- Princess Cruises' Grand Princess will join sister ship the Golden Princess in Europe next year.

Princess Cruises will deploy the 2,600-passenger ships May through August between Barcelona, Spain, and Venice, with calls in Monte Carlo, Monaco; Livorno (for Florence and Pisa) and Naples, Italy; Athens, Greece; and Kusadasi and Istanbul, Turkey.

The line said the popularity of the itinerary was the reason for the double-deployment.

In addition, each ship will sail a transatlantic repositioning cruise that features maiden port calls: Gibraltar and Alicante, Spain, on Grand Princess' May crossing, and Cadiz, Spain, and Casablanca, Morocco, on both ships' return trips in September.
