MSC Cruises is ordering two more World-class ships to complement the four already delivered or under construction. MSC signed the deal with shipbuilder Chantiers de l'Atlantique, subject to access to financing.

The ordered ships -- currently referred to as World class 5 and 6 -- are scheduled be delivered in 2029 and 2030.

The MSC World Europa and MSC World America are in service, while the MSC World Asia and MSC World Atlantic are under construction and due to arrive in 2026 and 2027, respectively.

The MSC World America debuted in Miami in April. MSC said the World Atlantic "will arrive with some surprises of its own."  That ship will cruise from Port Canaveral upon joining the fleet in 2027.
