MSC Cruises will update the MSC Poesia to include the line's ship-within-a-ship concept, the MSC Yacht Club, as well as two new restaurants and a sports bar during a drydock beginning in February.
The two restaurants, Butcher's Cut and Kaito Sushi Bar, will replace a portion of the buffet seating on Deck 13 and a wine tasting bar and photo gallery on Deck 7. Both are specialty restaurants.
All-Stars Sports Bar will replace the cigar lounge on Deck 7.
The Yacht Club will include 63 suites across five categories. Exclusive spaces for Yacht Club guests will include a sundeck with two hot tubs and a grill and bar, the bar Top Sail Lounge and the MSC Yacht Club restaurant.
During the drydock, MSC will also completely renovate the spa with a new hot tub, steam room and sauna and introduce a salt room and Kneipp path, a form of hydrotherapy.
The gym will be relocated to the front of the ship where there is currently a night club.
The MSC Poesia will be the cruise line's first ship to sail Alaska. Suites in the Yacht Club for Alaska sailings are open for bookings.
The drydock will begin in late February and be completed in early April.
