Marella Cruises will homeport a ship at Port Canaveral starting in the spring of 2021 to offer four itineraries with stops in the Bahamas and a variety of U.S. ports.
The line's 1,830-passenger Marella Discovery will sail from Port Canaveral from the start of May through Oct. 24, 2021.
Marella, formerly Thompson Cruises, is marketed to cruise passengers in the United Kingdom. It is a division of TUI U.K. and Ireland.
The ship's four itineraries include port calls in Charleston, S.C.; New York; Freeport and Nassau, Bahamas; Norfolk, Va.; Key West, Fla.; Miami; Tampa; Fort Lauderdale; and New Orleans.
