James Beard Award-winning chef Michelle Bernstein is Victory Cruise Lines' new culinary curator and chef partner.
Bernstein will help shape the cruise line's culinary vision, including the development of signature menus and immersive dining experiences.
There will be exclusive Bernstein signature dishes served each night in the ships' Costal Dining Room, and the chef will also sail on select voyages and host events, demonstrations and tastings.
Bernstein is based in Miami and was named best chef for the Southern region by the James Beard Foundation in 2008. She owns a catering business and has multiple acclaimed restaurants in Florida.
She has appeared on culinary competition shows including "Chopped" and "Top Chef" and hosts the PBS show "Check, Please! South Florida."
Her menus for Victory will include cuisine inspired by the Great Lakes and Canadian coastal regions that the cruise line sails as well as seasonal offerings.
Bernstein said she feels a connection to the Midwest because her father was from Minnesota and her husband spent half his life there.
"For us, this cruise isn't just a trip -- it's going back to be with family, and I can't wait to bring that love straight to the table," she said.
