Mitsui Ocean Cruises, a cruise line sailing in Japan, has opened sales in North America for the first time.

Architects of Travel, a Virtuoso member, is facilitating a targeted sales and marketing campaign in the U.S. and Canada to increase awareness among travel advisors about Mitsui Ocean Cruises.

The line operates the 458-guest Mitsui Ocean Fuji, the former Seabourn Odyssey. The Fuji entered service in December 2024. The line rebranded in 2023 to Mitsui Ocean Cruises from Mitsui O.S.K Passenger line.

The outreach to North American travelers comes as Japan enjoys a surge of popularity. Nearly 37 million tourists visited the country last year, up from nearly 32 million in 2019. Of those visitors, a record 2.7 million of them were Americans, an increase of 30% from 2023.
