MIAMI -- Norwegian Cruise Line announced an enhanced children's
program that includes expanded hours.
The Kid's Crew program now includes the first evening of the
cruise and late-afternoon and evening hours during port calls. In
addition, NCL has expanded its offerings for 3-to-5-year-olds to a
year-round basis.
Kid's Crew targets four age groups -- 3 to 5, 6 to 8, 9 to 12,
and 13 to 17 -- during high season and holiday periods and three
age groups -- 3 to 5, 6 to 12 and 13 to 17- during off-season.
Specific activities are designed for each age group. For
instance, the younger kids can participate in storytelling, T-shirt
painting, face painting, arts and crafts, magic shows and Circus at
Sea. Teenagers are offered pool parties, volleyball, trivia
contests and "The Newlymet Game."
To cater to the young crowd, NCL provides a daily version of
Cruise News for the kids, a chef's hat for when they make cookies
and pizzas and an autograph book for mementos.
Parents can also purchase a Kid's Crew backpack with such
goodies as a baseball cap, sunglasses, luggage tags and a T-shirt
as well as a souvenir cup that allows the kids to enjoy unlimited
sodas for the cruise.
The backpack, which is for sale on board only, costs $39.50 for
seven-day sailings, $33 for four-day cruises and $28 for three-day
itineraries.
