NCL taps Trump's wife to be godmother of Norwegian Jewel

MIAMI -- Melania Trump, the wife of real estate and reality TV tycoon Donald Trump, will swing the bottle of champagne for the Norwegian Jewels christening ceremony on Nov. 3.

Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) CEO Colin Veitch said Melania Trump, the Jewels godmother embodies ... the distinctive spirit of NCLs unique Freestyle Cruising.

Melania and Donald, who met at a fashion gala, were married in January 2005 -- a wedding so famous that the former model graced the February cover of Vogue in her wedding gown.

The Norwegian Jewel, which has been in operation since July, will be officially named during the christening ceremony at the port of Miami on Nov. 3 at 6 p.m.
