Norwegian Cruise Line will deploy a fourth ship in Europe for its 2012-13 season. Two ships will sail there year-round.

The 2,018-passenger Norwegian Spirit joins the Norwegian Jade, Norwegian Epic and Norwegian Sun, which will be deployed in Europe for the 2011-12 season.

The Spirit will make its European debut in April 2012, offering mostly 12-day Mediterranean voyages from Venice and Barcelona in the summer and fall along with nine-day Canary Islands cruises from Barcelona in the winter and spring.

The 2,402-passenger Jade will sail seven itineraries with ports of call in Greece, Italy, Turkey, Croatia, Israel and Egypt from Rome (Civitavecchia) and Venice.

Meanwhile, the Epic and Sun will continue cruising seasonally from Barcelona and Copenhagen, respectively.

The Epic will sail a series of 25 seven-day Western Mediterranean cruises from April 29 to October 14, 2012.

The Sun will sail nine-day Baltic cruises from Copenhagen from May 4 to September 7, 2012.

The 2012-13 Europe cruises went on sale to NCL's top travel partners and repeat guests today and will be available to the general public on Thursday.
